Latasha McMullen was appointed the Solution Mining Supervisor in March 2022. She first joined Western Potash Corporation as a Solution Mining Engineer in September 2016.
Initially working as a production engineer responsible for cavern development, solution mining operations, and sustaining capital potash for Mosaic Potash’s Belle Plaine mining expansion, Ms. McMullen has nearly 15 years of potash solution mining experience. Prior to joining the Western Potash team, Ms. McMullen was the project engineer and solution mining technical resource for Vale’s Kronau project during its FEL-2 and FEL-3 engineering phases.
With Western Potash, she has supported mine planning, well and cavern design, drilling planning and execution, as well as development and execution of cavern operations programs. From her very specific solution mining experience, she carries technical expertise in cavern operations and has a genuine passion for her work.
Ms. McMullen holds a Bachelor’s of Applied Science in Industrial Systems Engineering and is a Registered Professional Engineer in the Province of Saskatchewan.
