Jinell Nixon joined Western Potash Corporation in June 2022 as Health, Safety, Security, and Environment Supervisor.

Working for the past ten years at Yara Belle Plaine, Ms. Nixon gained extensive knowledge and experience in best practice industry standards for health and safety.  Ms. Nixon was involved in projects such as upgrading the site evacuation system, updating site excavation permit procedures, as well as the implementation of the Power Mobile Equipment program.  While working with both union and non-union individuals, she reinforced the importance of safety through communication, accountability, and participation.

Ms. Nixon achieved her Health and Safety Administrator certificate in 2014, Worker Safety Management certificate in 2016, Occupational health and Safety certificate in 2017, became a Canadian Registered Safety Professional (CRSP) in 2018, and is also a certified trainer of Occupational Health and Safety Level 1, Level 2, and Supervision and Safety.
